As Others Saw Him: A Retrospect, AD 54 (1895) is a novel by Joseph Jacobs.

Abstract

A Jew (one of the members of the Sanhedrim) looks back at events, and writes to an Alexandrian friend of what he saw in Jerusalem during Jesus' ministry, offering a critical yet largely appreciative portrait of the prophet of Nazareth. By famous Jewish historian and scholar of fairy tales.
