Muzio Effrem (M / Italy, 1549-c1640), composer

Muzio Effrem was born November 4, 1549, to a family of Greek descent. He started his musical career in Naples. In 1617, in Mantova, he contributed to the music for the sacra rappresentazione "La Maddalena" by Giovan Battista Andreini, with Claudio Monteverdi, Salomone Rossi, and Alessandro Ghivazzani. In 1626 he was back to Naples, where he died shortly around 1640.
