{fr} La Cage aux rossignols / {en} A Cage of Nightingales [1] (France, 1945), directed by Jean Dréville.

In France, in 1930, a supervisor of a boarding school for young offenders seeks to awaken the music by forming a choir, despite the skepticism of his boarding school director.

The film was the second most popular movie at the French box office in 1945.[1] A highly regarded adaptation of the film, under the title Les Choristes (English title: The Chorus) came out in 2004.
