Abstract

The third TV adaptation of Alcott's novel for CBS-TV was part of the series "The Ford Theatre Hour." It chronicled the lives of the March sisters (Jo, Meg, Amy, and Beth) in Concord, Massachusetts, during the 19th century. The live broadcast was not recorded.
