Maurizio Valenzi (Italy, 1909-2009), politician

Valenzi was born into a Jewish family of Leghorn origin, settled in Tunisia for several generations. A member of the Italian Communist Party, he was already in the 1930s one of the main characters of the anti-fascist resistance in Europe. After the war he was a member of the Italian Senate (1953-1968) and Major of Naples (1975-1983).
