Giovanni Palatucci (1909-1945)

Giovanni Palatucci was an Italian police official recognized by Yad Vashem as "righteous among the nations" for saving Jews in Fiume between 1939 and 1944 from being deported to Nazi extermination camps. Arrested by the Nazis, he perished in Dachau.
