Judy Lysy (F / Czechia, 1928), Holocaust survivor

Biography

Judy Lysy was born in Kosice, Czechoslovakia, in 1928. In 1944 her family was deported to Auschwitz and from there Judy, her mother and her sister were transferred to a sub-camp of Gross-Rosen. In January 1945, they were forced on a death march. They finally made it to Gunskirchen,where they were liberated by the Americans. In this excerpt, Judy describes their liberation.
