Fulcran Vigouroux (1837-1915) was a French scholar.
Born at Nantes, France, in 1861 he was ordained a Catholic priest and became a member of the Society of Saint-Sulpice. He taught Scriptures at the Séminaire de Saint-Sulpice (1860-1895) and the Institut catholique de Paris (1890-1903). His approach was conservative and apologetic, defending the historicity of Scriptures against critical scholarship. In 1903 Vigouroux was called to Rome to become the first secretary of the newly formed Pontifical Biblical Commission. He also engaged in the foundation of the Pontificio Istituto Biblico. Died in Paris in 1915.
