Arnoldus Arlenius (c1510-1582) was a Dutch classical scholar, philosopher, and poet. In 1542 he travelled to Venice, where he became librarian to the Spanish ambassador, Diego Hurtado de Mendoza. Working with manuscripts found in Mendoza's library, he produced in 1544 the first printed edition of the Greek text of Josephus' Works.
