Francesco Malipiero (1824-1887) was an Italian composer. Born in Rovigo, studied and lived in Venice, where he represented most of his works. Malipiero died in Venice [Italy] on May 12, 1887. His grandson was renowned Italian composer Gian Francesco Malipiero.
