Francisco de Ribera (1537-1591) was a Spanish NT scholar, and Jesuit priest, best known as the confessor and biographer of Saint Theresa of Jesus (La vida de la Madre Teresa de Iesús, 1590).

Francisco de Ribera was born at Villacastin in 1537. Jesuit priest and Biblical scholar at Salamanca, he is renowned as the confessor and biographer of Saint Theresa of Jesus (La vida de la Madre Teresa de Iesús, 1590). Ribera died at Salamanca, Spain on November 24, 1591.
