Catherine Malfitano

Catherine Malfitano (b.1948) is an American opera singer. In the 1990s in particular, she was one of the most celebrated interpreters of Salome in Richard Strauss's opera, on stage and in sound and video recordings. She showed remarkable talent not only as a singer, but also as an actress and dancer.
