Charles François Dupuis

Charles François Dupuis (1742-1809) was a French scholar. Taught Latin eloquence at the Collège de France, and devoted himself to the study of ancient mythologies. Is credited for being the first scholar to develop the Jesus Myth Theory. Held that there was no human being involved in the New Testament account, which he saw as an intentional extended allegory of solar myths.
