Overview

1829 -- Mikiel Anton Vassalli, a pioneer in the study of Maltese and a convert to Protestantism, translated the Gospels and Acts of the Apostles into Maltese language.

1847 -- Mikiel Anton Camilleri, afterwards vicar of Lyford, Berkshire, revised Vassalli's version and completed the first translation of the whole New Testament into Maltese.
