Abstract
AD 66, following the death of Nero, the Jewish War begins and only General Vespasian has the strength and will to sort out the empire. Josephus leads the rebels in Galilee but is defeated in the Siege of Jotapata. Captured, he predicts that Vespasian is destined to be emperor. In the meantime in Jerusalem, the fanatical John of Giscala murders the more moderate Ananus ben-Ananus. [{Titus]] leads the siege and conquers the city.
