Abstract

A study of the first nine chapters of the biblical Book of Proverbs, which investigates whether the often posited distinction between secular wisdom and divine Wisdom, and their heterogeneous character is applicable to this section of the Hebrew Bible. A synchronic approach makes way for a diachronic analysis.
