Tamar (1994) is a novel by Ann Chamberlin.

Abstract

"A biblical tale featuring Tamar, stepdaughter of King David of Jerusalem. The daughter of a high priestess of the Kingdom of Geshur, herself destined to be a priestess, the novel chronicles how she adjusts to a society which allows for only one god."
