The Feast of Herod (1998) is a photomontage by Calum Colvin.

Abstract

Photomontage, based on the Feast of Herod by Rubens. The severed head of John the Baptist is presented on a wheeled trolley to the artist himself, sitting in the place where Herod sat in the original painting.

History and current location

At the National Gallery in Edinburgh, Scotland.
