Katherine Stenholm (1917-2015) was an American film director. A fervent evangelical she was invited in 1950 by Bob Jones Sr., founder of Bob Jones University, Greenville, SC, to take on the task of starting a Cinema Department for the school. One of only a handful of women in the United States to direct feature films, through her career she produced seventy-two films of various types including sermon films, religious documentaries, promotional films, and multi-image presentations. Her film Wine of Morning was selected in 1958 to represent the United States at the International Film Festival in Cannes, France.
