The Enemies of Jupiter (2003) is a children's novel by Caroline Lawrence.

Abstract

Part of the Roman Mysteries Series. Jonathan and his friends are called to Rome by the emperor Titus in the winter of 80 A.D. to find the new Prometheus believed to have brought an epidemic to the city. Includes reference to Josephus and to the exiled princess Berenice. The latter is said to possess the Ark of the Covenant.
