Joseph Langen (1837-1901) was a German scholar. Born at Cologne, studied at Bonn, and was ordained priest for the Roman Catholic Church in 1859. In 1864 he was appointed Adjunct professor, and then professor of New Testament Exegesis in 1867 at the University of Bonn--a position that he held until his death
