William Wagner Buehler (1926-2010) was an American scholar. Born in Reading, PA, he grew up in San Pedro, CA. In 1960 he moved to Switzerland to study at the University of Basel where he graduated in 1964 under Karl Barth. A member of the Evangelical Theological Society and Society of Biblical Literature, Buehler was Professor of Biblical Studies and Department Chair at Barrington College in Barrington, RI, 1964-1981; and Professor of Biblical Studies and Department Chair at Gordon College in Wenham, MA, 1981-1993. In 1994 he was nominated Emeritus Professor of Biblical and Theological Studies by Gordon College. He died in Tampa, FL.
