Fui um dos Setenta (1977) is a novel by Eurico Branco Ribeiro.

Abstract

"Novela dos tempos bíblicos... Este volume é o terceiro de uma série de três livros que poderá ser chamada de 'Trilogia de São Lucas'."

The author narrates the life of Luke and Mary Magdalene, and the association they had with Jesus. Lucas held the post of ship's doctor. Magdalene had a nursing home of troops, where he sang and danced, attracting more clientele. Jesus removed seven devils from Mary Magdalene who were chasing the girl, and choose seventy followers in order to go around teaching and healing. Lucas was the thirty-fifth and went out at the world in the company of Cleophas. Mary Magdalene was participating in a group of entourage of women who accompanied Jesus on pilgrimages. When the persecution of Christians began, Mary Magdalene fled with a group of friends on a boat without sail and without rowing, going to the Mediterranean coast of Gaul, east of Marsille, to a place that was called "Holy Maries of the Sea," because there Mary Magdalene and Mary the sister of Lazarus landed. After a few years Mary Magdalene was accompanied by Sidonio preaching the word of Christ and living in Baume (Grupa) until the end of her days, when she delivered her soul to God.
