Bahāyla Mikā’ēl, an Ethiopian monk wrote the ''Book of the Mystery of Heaven and Earth'' with quotations and interpretations from 1 Enoch

Zar'ā Yā'eqob, king of Ethiopia (1426-1460) wrote ''Maṣḥāfa Milad'' the Book of nativity, an apologetic text with several quotations from 1 Enoch, in view of defending the Christian faith

The Bible in Amharic (1886, Abraham or Abu Rumi) translated and edited. The Translation took place at the beginning of the 19th century. It was done by an Ethiopian monk who was taken and assisted by the French Vice-Consul in Cairo.

Ethiopian Traditional Commentary of the Book of Ezekiel (1917 E.C. Kidāna-Wald), edited volume

This commentary differs from most of the Ethiopian traditional commentaries because it also contains elements from Jewish commentaries. The editor had access to rabbinical literature.

The Bible in Amharic (1962, a joint committee), translated and edited volume. The Psalms are close to the LXX and the Ethiopic (Ge'ez) version.

The Gospels, the Acts of the Apostles and Epistles (1965 E.C. Māhbara-Hāwāriyāt), edited volume This is an edition of the Ge’ez text, with an Amharic translation, prepared by traditional Ethiopian scholars who consulted various manuscripts.

The Bible in Amharic (1988, Ethiopian Bible Society), translated and edited volume.. The Amharic of this version is easy. The work is inspired by “Good News Bible”.
