George Adam Smith (1856-1942) was a Scottish scholar.

Biography

Born in Calcutta, India, George Adam Smith was educated in Edinburgh, Scotland. Theologian and Old Testament scholar, he was Professor at the Free Church College in Glasgow (1892-1909) and then principal of the University of Aberdeen (1909-35).
