Erwin R. Goodenough (1893-1965) was an American scholar.
Biography
Professor at Yale University from 1923. His work first challenged systematically the notion of the normativeness of Pharisaic Judaism in the Second Temple Period. Was one of the founders of IRAS, Institute on Religion in an Age of Science.
