The Bible Society in Italy / Società Biblica in Italia, founded in 1983, is a Christian association whose purpose is to translate and distribute the Bible in Italy.

Overview

Agents of the British and Foreign Bible Society were active in Italy since the mid-19th century. An office of the agency was formally opened in 1870 in Rome, now the capital of the new Italian State.

Only in 1983 the Bible Society in Italy was also established as an autonomous agency, side by side with the Italian Branch of the British and Foreign Bible Society
