Étienne Charpentier (1930-1981) was a French scholar.

Biography

Born in 1930 near Chartres, Charpentier studied at the Biblical Institute in Rome and the École biblique et archéologique of Jerusalem. He was the editor of the journal "Cahiers Évangile" published by Editions du Cerf. Charpentier died tragically in a traffic accident in 1981.
