Dear ... :

I hope my email finds you well.

Are you familiar with the work of ... and his/her recent edited volume: ... ? It was suggested to us to organize an online presentation of the volume. What is your opinion?

Best. Gabriele

Yes, the meeting will be part of the new "Meet the Author Series" which will start on June 12 with a conversation on the Jewishness of Luke. It will not be a "traditional" book presentation. The idea is to focus on a specific topic suggested by the publication of a new book. In the first 30 minutes we will have a sort of interview of the author(s), followed by a discussion involving a (diverse) group of panelists. The focus should be more on the topic than on the book, even though of course it is the opportunity to presents the major conclusions of your volume and you will be introduces as the editors of the volume.

So far we have scheduled 4 meetings:

1) Joshua Smith on the Jewishness of Luke (June 12)

2) The two of you on the use of Israel's Scriptures in early Christian Writings (Sept 25).

3) Rebecca Wollenberg on "How the Rabbis taught (not) to read the Bible" (Oct 28)

4) James McGrath on John the Baptist (December 2024)

It is good to have plenty of time to prepare for the event. The sooner we know the names of the panelists, the sooner we will start to advertise the event.

Best. Gabriele
