Tommaso Traetta (Bitonto, 1727 - Venice, 1779), composer

Born in Bitonto (Italy), Filippo Traetta has a successful international career. From 1768 to 1775 he moved to Russia as music director for Catherine the Great. Died in Italy. His son (Philip Trajetta) also had a musical career in the United States.
