Carlo Rossi (Naples, 1775 - Saint Petersburg, 1849) -- Architect

Born in Italy, Rossi was brought to Russia in his childhood, when his mother Guertroude Rossi-Le Picq, a well-known ballerina, was invited into Russia to perform. He studied architecture and was the author of many classical buildings and architectural ensembles in Saint Petersburg and its environs.
