Overview
The Lithuanians are an ethnic group that primarily inhabit Lithuania and speak the Lithuanian language (circa 4 million).
Most Lithuanians today live within the borders of independent Lithuania (circa 2.7 million). There are Lithuanian minorities in nearby Latvia, and Russia, and sizeable populations of immigrants and their descendants in the United States, the United Kingdom, Brazil, and other countries.
