Konstandin Kristoforidhi (1827–1895) was a Christian Orthodox Albanian scholar and philologist. Born at Elbasan [Albania], then part of the Ottoman Empire, he studied at the University of Athens and was fluent in Ancient Greek, Latin, and Hebrew. His knowledge of modern languages was equally vast, including Albanian, Modern Greek, English, Italian, Turkish, Bulgarian, Arabic and French. In 1857 he began his collaboration with the British Biblical Society and was the author of translations of the New Testament and other Biblical books into Albanian.
