John Dominic Crossan (b.1934) is an Irish American scholar.
Biography
Born in Ireland. Moved to the United States in 1950 while joining the Servite Order. In 1969 left the priesthood and began teaching at DePaul University, until his retirement in 1995. A specialist in the field of Historical Jesus studies, co-founder of the Jesus Seminar.
