James Hardy Ropes (1866-1933) was an American scholar.

Biography

Born in Salem, MA. Graduated from Harvard College (1889) and Andover Theological Seminary (1893). Ordained a minister in the Congregational Church (1901). Professor at Harvard Divinity School. Editor of the Harvard Theological Review in 1921.
