Esther (1732) is an oratorio by Georg Frideric Haendel (mus.), and John Arbuthnot and Alexander Pope (libr.).
Abstract
Based on Esther (1668 Racine), play. The work was born and first performed as a masque around 1718. In 1732, Haendel revised and expanded it as an oratorio.
