Barbara Hershey (b.1948) is an American actress, whose career spans nearly 50 years on television and in cinema. In The Last Temptation of Christ (1988) by Martin Scorsese, she offered a memorable performance as Mary Magdalene, a prostitute who in a dream Jesus of Nazareth had on the cross becomes his beloved wife.
