Jacques-Paul Migne (1800-1875) was a French scholar, and a specialist in Early Christian Studies and Second Temple Studies, in particular in OT Pseudepigrapha Studies.

Works

A Catholic priest convinced of the power of the press, Migne devoted his entire life to the publication of popular editions of ancient Christian texts. His Patrologiae cursus completus remains one of the major achievements of 19th-century scholarship. His interests included Jewish apocryphal documents related to the Bible, which for the first time were made largely available.
