Salo Wittmayer Baron (1895-1989) was a Jewish-American scholar.
Biography
Born in Galicia, studied and taught in Vienna before moving to America in 1927. Professor at Columbia University (1930-1963) and first member of American Faculty to teach Judaic Studies. President of American Academy for Jewish Research.
