Menahem Mansoor (1911-2001) was an American scholar.
Biography
Menahem Mansoor was born in Port-Said, Egypt, on August 4, 1911.
He studied in Tel Aviv and then moved to England to complete his education at the University of London and Trinity College, Dublin, where in 1944 he earned his PhD in Biblical Studies and Semitic Languages.
After spending some years in Israel, he moved to the United States in 1954. He served as Professor at the University of Wisconsin Madison from 1955 to his retirement in 1982.
Mansoor died on October 21, 2001.
