Wilhelm Dindorf (1802-1883) was a German scholar.
Biography
Karl Wilhelm Dindorf was born January 2, 1802 at Leipzig, Germany.
A specialist in classical studies, he taught for some years at his Alma Mater, the University of Leipzig (1828-33), before he resigned and devoted himself entirely to his research work.
He published critical editions of the works of several classical authors, including Demosthenes, Lucian, Josephus and Eusebius.
Dindorf died August 1, 1883 in Leipzig, Germany.
Works on Second Temple Judaism
Dindorf contributed to the field with a critical edition of the Greek and Latin text of Josephus' Works.
