Lippi painted the three stories from the life of Stephen between 1452 and 1465, for the Cappella Maggiore of the Duomo of Prato [Italy], where they are still located. On the opposite wall Lippi painted three parallel Stories from the Life of John the Baptist (1465 Lippi), art.
