Onias III (2nd century BCE) was a member of the House of Zadok. He ruled as High Priest, from 185 BCE (after his father Simon II), to 175 BCE, when he was deposed by his brother Jason. Onias III was then murdered in 170 BCE by the new High Priest Menelaus, and his son Menelaus fled to Egypt, where he built a new Temple at Leontopolis.
