Luis Monti (Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1901 - Escobar Partido, Argentina, 1983) -- Soccer player

Monti was born in Argentina, to a family of Italian descent.

He played in Argentina for San Lorenzo (1922-1930) and the Argentine National Team (1924-1931). He then moved to Italy, where he played for Juventus (1930-1939) and the Italian National Team (1932-1936). After a short experience as manager, he returned to South America in 1950.

Monti has the distinction of having played in two FIFA World Cup final matches with two different national teams. With his native Argentina he lost to Uruguay in 1930. He won the 1934 World Cup with Italy.
