The Star of Bethlehem (USA, 1912) is a feature film (silent, B&W, 106m [only 15m survive]), directed by Lawrence Marston.

Abstract

The plot follows those narratives of the Bible which lead up to the birth of Jesus Christ. The story has an angel (the angel Gabriel in a suit of armor) telling three shepherds to follow the star of Bethlehem to locate the Savior. With much of the original lost (only 15 minutes survive), however, the existing footage can be difficult to interpret as a coherent whole.
