Little Women (Alcott)

There were two earlier adaptations during the silent era, in 1917 and 1918 respectively; both are lost.

1917 -- Little Women, directed by Alexander Butler, starring Mary Lincoln (Meg), Ruby Miller (Jo), Muriel Myers (Beth), and Daisy Burrell (Amy).
1918 -- Little Women, directed by Harley Knoles, starring Isabel Lamon (Meg), Dorothy Bernard (Jo), Lillian Hall (Beth), and Florence Flinn (Amy).
