Haljand Udam (1936-2005) was an Estonian scholar. Born May 8, 1936 in Pola [Croatia, then Italy]. After graduating from Tartu University as a geologist, he studied oriental languages at Tashkent University and Moscow State University. Udam died in Viterbo. Italy on December 17, 2005.
