Last Judgment (1502) is a series of frescoes by Luca Signorelli, at Cappella di San Brizio, Cathedral, Orvieto, Italy.

Notes

Between 1499 and 1502 Luca Signorelli completed the frescoes in the St. Brizio Chapel with scenes devoted to the end of times, under the vault where Beato Angelico in 1447 had portrayed Christ the Judge.

It is the most elaborated cycle of frescoes on the events related to the Last Judgment. It is made of several autonomous scenes:

  • (a) Predica e fatti dell'Anticristo (Preaching of the Antichrist)
  • (b) Finimondo (End of Times)
  • (c) Resurrezione della carne (Resurrection of the Flesh)
  • (d) Dannati (Damned)
  • (e) Beati (Blessed)
  • (f) Paradiso (Paradise)
  • (g) Inferno (Hell)
