Eleazar Lipa Sukenik (1889-1953) was an Israeli scholar and archaeologist. Born in Bialystok, Poland, arrived to Israel in 1911. Professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The father of Yigael Yadin. Sukenik played a central role in the early stages of the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls and in the establishment of the Essene Hypothesis.
