Martin Hinds (1941-1988) was a British scholar. Born April 10, 1941 at Penarth, Wales, United Kingdom. He was educated at the School of Oriental and African Studies, where he worked as Lecturer in Arabic since 1963. In 1966 he moved to the University of Cambridge where he spent the rest of his career. Hinds died December 1, 1988.
